State Sen. Neil Anderson received the Associated Fire Fighters of Illinois (AFFI) Legislator of the Year award June 14. Anderson is also a fire fighter for the City of Moline.
“Senator Anderson has been nothing less than spectacular as not only a supporter of legislation that helps fire fighters, but an advocate for our legislation,” said Chuck Sullivan, Legislative Representative for the AFFI. “He has the ability to explain complex issues to his colleagues on both sides of the aisle and has first-hand knowledge as a firefighter/paramedic himself. We appreciate all of his efforts.”
“Thank you to the AFFI for this honor,” Anderson said. “I am humbled to receive this recognition. Thank you to all our firefighters for their service. I will continue to advocate for firefighters at the Statehouse.”
