“As the budget process begins for Fiscal Year 2019, we are still left dealing with the underfunded budget that was passed by the majority party last year,” said Curran. “The Governor proposed a balanced budget as promised, but that is just the first step. I appreciated the initiatives to combat crime and the opioid crisis, and implement reforms that would ease the financial burden on the taxpayers; however the General Assembly still has much more work to do in order to address the priorities of the state while maintaining a budget that is in balance.”
