Senate Republican lawmakers were active in their communities this week, attending events and meeting with community members across their districts.
Senator Dale Fowler spoke to 136 Seniors from Anna-Jonesboro High School on Tuesday, Oct. 31. Three students in the audience are selectees of the senator’s upcoming Youth Advisory Council.

The senator thanked the business owners for keeping jobs in Illinois and spoke about how proud he is to have such a talented workforce building industrial equipment used around the world in the 37th District.

Both lawmakers were invited to attend the Chamber’s monthly annual meeting to introduce themselves, discuss ongoing issues facing the State of Illinois and provide an update on state government.
Senator Paul Schimpf met with the leadership of “Fight Crime: Invest in Kids” as well as local law enforcement officials on Wednesday, Nov. 1. The senator spoke to the group about the important prevention efforts they're taking to reduce crime.

Senator Tom Rooney met with district members for a Medicare 101 seminar on Wednesday, Nov. 1. The seminar included a presentation and a question and answer session on all things Medicare.
