State Sen. Bill Brady (R-Bloomington) is encouraging residents of the 44th Senate District to clean out their file cabinets and bring outdated documents to a document-shredding event to be held on Sept. 30.
“We all need to be concerned about protecting our identities and we need to correctly dispose of documents that may contain sensitive information,” said Brady. “I encourage my constituents to come out on Sept. 30 to my Shred Truck Event and take advantage of this opportunity to safely and securely dispose of any documents they wouldn’t feel comfortable casually throwing away.”
Signs will be in place to the shred truck where volunteers will be available to unload documents. This free shred event is only for individual residents; please, no businesses. Residents will be limited to two boxes each, and are asked to take their cardboard boxes with them after shredding documents.
