Sen. Christine Radogno (R-Lemont) issued the following statement on Nov. 10:
“Today’s progress is a demonstration of what we can accomplish through bipartisan cooperation and meaningful dialogue.
As a result of bipartisan discussions with Gov. Rauner, Illinois’s child care program and Unemployment Insurance will be improved. With progress, we will be in a better position to take a serious look at what Illinois needs and what we can afford.
We had business, labor, stakeholders, legislators, taxpayers, and the Governor working together. It’s encouraging, and as the last few months have proven, it’s the only way forward.
But both Illinois and Illinois families are still facing significant challenges. We need to find both a budget solution, and a way to truly reform this broken system to improve our economy and our future outlook. More of the same simply can’t be an option.”
