Communities across northern Illinois were left devastated by last week’s deadly storms. Following Governor Rauner’s disaster declaration for DeKalb and Ogle Counties, the Comptroller’s Office activated Illinois Gives.
Illinois Gives is a website that allows state employees and retirees to quickly and easily donate a portion of their paychecks to the Red Cross’ disaster relief efforts for the victims in the affected communities.
Those eligible to contribute can go online at https://give.illinoiscomptroller.com or contact their payroll officer to make an Illinois Gives donation from their next payment.
As our neighbors in northern Illinois struggle to get back on their feet, Illinois Gives lets 245,000 state employees and retirees directly assist with their relief effort. If you have any questions about Illinois Gives, please call the Comptroller’s Office at 1-855-IL-ASK-US.
